1530 hrs. SG.

I am going to crowd this post till it is solved.

Is that considered as spamming?

NO it is not spamming.

If you are in Singapore and also have those problems the rest of the community is experiencing please keep posting.

If the server is having those spikes in a premium environment like SG then it should not be "the internet" but something that can (and should) be solved technically from the end of the WG server!

0050 hrs... SG.

Yesterday gameplay sucked again. Ping was 120-180 which usually is quite ok BUT the play lagged, tanks where jumping around, my tank got "eaten" by the map etc. etc.

It might be just coincidental but I do have the feeling that this happens during the "preparation" for an update.

I could really really do without less frequent updates (if that is the reason).

However: WG mobilize! (your frigging connectivity/performance)

copy/paste from rhysiam's post:

What you need to figure out first is where the problem is. It could be:

a) something on your local network
b) your ISP
c) the game servers themselves

There are a few different ways of doing that. Here's what I'd do.
- Open two command prompts ( run "CMD" )
- in the first command prompt, ping your router, type: ping -t 192.168.137.1 (where the number is IP address of your router
- in the second command prompt, ping a reliable internet site, type: ping -t www.google.com

Those pings (because of the -t switch) will just keep running, but the ping traffic is minute - it won't affect anything.

I'd then launch the game (maybe take on some bots in a custom game, so you won't get raged at for ALT-Tabbing). When you notice the lag spikes, Alt Tab and look at the response time on your pings.
- If the time on your pings to your local router are increasing, then it's your local network that's the problem. Who else is using the internet? Are you on a crowded/poor reception WiFi?

- If the router pings are unaffected but the Google Ping time has increased, then your internet service is the problem. Contact your ISP. This is what was happened to me for a while and after diagnosing the problem and sending the ping results to my ISP, they actually acknowledged that their arterial link to my area was saturated and they let me out of my contract.

- If neither of the pings are affected, then your local network and internet service are fine. Must be the game servers. Good luck getting a resolution on that one!

edit: forgot to mention, if you want to stop the pings running, select the command prompt and hit CTRL + C.

The Asia server got moved further North recently, so the Ping is really bad sometimes here in Australia.

Is "lol" appropriate here?

I'd say it depends to what you are referring to.

My ping has deteriorated with each update. Seems to be the wifi link. It's currently reading about 300-350 ms on average but the lag spikes are so huge I am missing half a dozen shots per game and can't move right. I try to stop but end up exposed to fire. Then when I try to back up it sticks and I cannot move for a second. Other people in Tokyo have had this progressive problem but it doubled in severity at update 2. This coincided with lots of ads on YouTube for virtual private gaming network. Hmmm. Unlike my internet service, my 4g service is working fine, with ping at 123 ms. Anyway I can only play my slowest tanks without totally failing.
