Nah don't bother, it won't make any difference this games developer are a business after all and they need to make money to develope and update the game to keep it enjoyable for you the players and anyway I've seen players with every currant tier 10 tank available at the time with out having the number of games to grind the hard way up one line so them are you going to limit the amount of gold you can buy as well, let's face it you only complaint is when inexperienced player are on your team no one ever complained about having them on the opposing team.

I agree restrict lower tier players from buying Tier 8 prems. My suggestion would be to restrict tier 8 prems until they reach tier 8. There are plenty of great prem tanks at tier 5 and below for them to cut their teeth on. Plus it gives them an incentive to grind properly to tier 8. There is a big difference in gameplay past tier 6. IMO.

I already suggested a year ago to WG that they should put the CC(Community Contributors)  names in-game .. so that newbies can learn faster and so that we all enjoy the game better.

Results.  WG just says  big  F ... (self censored, moderators please be kind)  ... because they want the noobs to buy gold , prem time , enrich vehicles and buy prem tanks.

When I started the game begin 2015 i didn't know anything. .. angling,  hull down, sidescraping, prammo , équipements, ... etc... it took me 6k battles to start to realize how a donkey I was in tier 567.  After  I checked YT ... found 48ton ruckus , bushka, hugbert... really loved 48ton ruckus vids. He is just genuine.  Bushka is more straightforward helping others to understand the game.  Hugbert is boring as an old christian granny ...

Afterwards,  I discovered  TheMightyJingles, QB, sirFoch, circon, sk8xtrm , meadsy69 , martindogger ,ageing Jedi, unkindest , yellowcap, tortik, gentlefun, claus kellerman ...

What still pi ss es me off. If had WG do a monthly CC corner in newsfeed i would have been much quicker to watch their videos and be a patreon.

If WG just mention them in newsfeed ... it's winwin for all. ... but WG just don't care... they need the noobs to make money...

Its a good suggestion! They should do all they can to get newbies play better.

restrictions? yeah, do find them necessary.

for the restrictions part, in order to be able to purchase a high tier premium, that player must meet these requirements:

- 1000 battles (for tier V-VI premiums)

- 2000 battles (for tier VII premiums)

- 4000 battles (for tier VIII premiums)

- 6000 battles? (for tier IX-X premiums)

there may be crevices here and there, but if you find this suggestion is useful, please add more stuffs to it to make it whole.

Just as Supremacy is open to only Tier V+ , Gold Tanks above Tier IV should be limited to players having existing Tier V and above tanks.

I am a Noob and jumped in and bought heaps of premium tanks. mainly cos i didnt know how to research or what a tech tree was. i couldnt work out why everyone was so hostile for first 1000 games.

i definitely would swot up on it next time and not make the same mistake. but it is heaps of fun now i can play effectively!

This looks like an old thread but here my suggestion(s): people are able to buy prem tanks just one tier above their highest tier tank from the non-prem tech tree. Another possibility could be by number of battles and (good) reputation

Quite funny seeing this old thread.

So WG knows full well that this is a concern dating back years and it is even more of a concern today.

However, as you can see, they have not listened and in fact want new players to buy their tier 8 premiums even if it is at the detriment to the game as a whole.

This guy is an example of the lifespan of a new player nowadays. He readily admits to coming in and buying a heap of tier 8 premiums and was bashed/abused at higher tiers for not being good enough to be there yet. It would seem that this eventually got boring for him as he has not played for almost two months now.

WG made some money so are happy but a new player has been lost because he was rushed up the tiers far too quickly before he had learnt what was needed. This kind of strategy by WG is not good for the longterm health of the game especially with some big competition in mobile games being around currently.

Surely improving the tutorial and preventing players from moving up too quickly would be the best idea longterm? Player learns, WG keeps a player that is likely to spend money as long as he is here and enjoying himself. What they made from his tier 8 premium tanks I am sure he would have spent anyway on lower tier prems, premium time, enrichments perhaps.

Sell Tier 8 premiums to anyone with a tier 7 tank unlocked at least.

I don't think that WG will listen to us. Almost every company is there for profit. Unless we start a rebellion(which is impossible when in lockdown)(don't take this seriously), noobs will continue to hoard tanks not meant for them, and we will be plagued by players who don't know what they are doing. I don't have even a single premium tank. But I am progressing through all the tiers(now I am in the sixth tier), one by one(this took almost a year) and I believe that if I encounter any premium noob-tanker, and even if I am a tier low than him, I have the experience needed to blast him and his tank into hell and beyond.:B

Rather than act, they now sell tier 9 and 10 premiums too - SIGH!

Why not take advantage of their inexperience in higher tiers, like doing tactics and strategies that player doesn't know about (Like Hull-Down and Sidescraping) and just farm dmg. But if that player is in your team, then try your best to atleast make him survive for the next battle. I do, however, vote for the rule of "Buying a premium tank that is one tier higher than your most top-tiered tank in your garage or in your career" mainly because I'm currently at tier 7 .

For me, this is useless because WG is happy to get money than do that so we have to get used to that problem.

Agreed, I just bought a Conor to add to my collection,. and can't enter any Battles - simply Times out... so what's the point!? Waste of Gold.

Anyway I dont care - I screwed up on the XP / GOLD Balance recently so happy to burn 2500 Gold without worry - 2 months of video watching... to regain ,which should be about right to get back the XP I threw away :(
