As the latest prize event regarding distance travelled on one map is receiving less enthusiasm from forumers, what kind of event/challenge as players would you like to see in future WG challenge events?

Or are there previous challenges you particularly liked and would like to see repeated?

As WG will read this thread, hopefully the best suggestions will get implemented or repeated in 2016...

Personally, I thought the Anko was a good idea - relatively easy challenge to achieve, and a good farming tank, with some anime novelty.

How about something that induce more active playstyle, like win certain numbers of battles while doing certain number of damages?

Tankenstein and Anko missions was a huge success IMO,something similar like that would be a great event.

When you want to succeed as much as you want to live to breathe, then only you will succeed.

I understand more events like Anko will hit WG pockets hard so l dun expect too many to come.

However, more challenges like win certain number of matches or deal certain amount of dmg for a confirmed reward will be more sensible.

Then again, with the confirmed rewards comes alot of people getting it so WG can just give a small amount of gold (10?) to people who got it or maybe 100k credits for harder missions.

Talking about future huh...

How about current, they even priced the Type 59 wrong... i mean the one in the shop... tagged 19.99 US and got taken down within 4 minutes....

Not trying to be rude here, but if WG cant even do well now, i think its useless to talk about the future

Thats more a purchase related promotion. I think WG went for a Xmas present. In the end, WG will see how successful their pricing was in Jan.

I'm refering to free competitions / events - i.e. something all players / clans can participate to win or be awarded something. I liked the platoon comp ages ago - gets players socialising.

The Anko event was incredible. I don't know what the financials were for that event for Wargaming, but if it were possible to do other tanks in GuP with their commanders providing voices then I would be all for that. And certainly the number of Anko's out there suggest there are plenty of players who enjoy theirs as well. Since so many of the Oorai tanks from the series are from those lower mid tiers you aren't really risking suddenly giving someone a high tier tank that they otherwise wouldn't have. Maybe you could even have a mission that grows like the Tankenstein one did. Say first 50 wins unlocks the Lee for example. Then the next 50 gets the StuG or Type 98 and so on through the rest of the tanks.

Tankenstein itself I thought was too much. The targets grew to massive numbers for non-hardcore every possible chance to play players for what is in the end a novelty piece. Yes, you could unlock with Gold, but that basically means the drivers are either Richie Riches who just spent 10k Gold without blinking, or hardcore grinders. It wasn't something that overly interested me, the choice of guns was the big point, but it wasn't really enough for me to want to grind that out.

RoC was fine for what it was. I made sure I qualified for the rewards, and did certainly play my tier 8s a little more. It was good beating NA, but mainly because I lurk in their forums and it was funny seeing them coming up with their excuses why they were losing.

The two race events were OK. I did make sure I qualified for them both. It might well have therefore started those two grinds a little earlier than I might have otherwise, but I like the Japanese lower tiers, so I'm happy with that. And again, with the lowest target NA couldn't manage their samurai one which has led to another bit of amusement as they pretend they are the only server with a real life so it is unfair they should be expected to actually do something for the reward.

The other missions and events like the Hype 59 event and such are fine too in my opinion. If I'm interested in the reward I try to complete the requirements to get in the draw, if not I don't worry much about it. I just never go in thinking I will have a chance to win the ones with most whatever. I don't play enough games per day for those.

How about allowing players to convert credit to gold over a short period of time, like 12 hours, 6 hours. This will help skilled players that don't use RL money into the game.

I can't remember the previous events - but I agree combinations that push players to play well are the spirit of the game. As Krad suggested, the distance event on Himmels would avoid noob play by giving a kill or xp requirement combo.

I suppose WG want to make interesting competitions, but to avoid super unicums winning them all, balance by giving abit of a chance to average players (luck of the draw style).

Hopefully we get some good new suggestions here to keep the events fresh.

The Anko was the best mission one can hope for . Ridiculously easy mission and at the end of it you got a proper tier 5 tank which makes awesome credits . I played the tankenstein mission but gave up on the last stage . I might have been able to complete it but gave up primarily coz the reviews were not that great . I don't mind a similarly tough mission  if the prize is a good higher tier tank . Make it tough , that's not a problem . Only those who are determined enough will get it but give a good tank at the end .

I think more personal missions, such as Tankenstein or Anko is the way to go.  Doesn't matter how tough it might be, but its a guaranteed reward at the end of the day.

The other events are essentially a lottery, look at the Hype 59, complete the daily mission for a next to zero chance to win the tank.  Same with the distance event, except it has a bit of skill involved, but still primarily luck based.  If WG is to persist with these events, at least improve the odds some what.  10-20-30 people winning at a time where the server pop maxes out at 15k (Not sure of the actual player base, but its probably 3-4 times the max server pop).  The chances are just so slim, its not really worth it to work for it.

Also, to decrease the chances of people doing dumb things just so they can "win".  Probably make the event team based.  Fastest win.  Win by the biggest margin (dmg dealt/received etc).  Most distance travelled by the team.  Otherwise any solo event will mean people farm distance, farm damage, farm kills and what not, instead of working for the team as a whole.  The entire team then receive the reward.

Notice how no one comments.  A lot of people use real money for the game. Your suggestion would be nice but I don't think it will ever happen.

I think the local pub or coffee house event would be great, similar to the one you have hosted.

It's a great way for people to meet up in the real world, socialize and win great prizes.

These event are not so easy to setup, but if WG country team member are willing to lead the hosting, I would definitely make time to show-up to meet others.

Good luck on the battlefield!

I would definitely love more meet-up events in other countries like SG or Australia.

Maybe add an event where new players have a chance of getting the prize like the Anko. The tankenstein was more for top tier players who play almost everyday. At that time, the best tank I had was a Hetzer. And the minimum requirements of 100 battles is not going to encourage me to do the event. If it was 50, I may try.

It would be nice if they added an event kinda like the Tankenstein one, just a bit easier, Blitz has a bunch of [edited] tanks, all the good ones are in PC. As I said, somethin like the Tankenstein event but with a prize where YOU CAN CHOOSE. Or, for like one day or something, they add a new tank researchable via the tech tree, like the the BT7 Art researchable via the BT7, `man, would that be good. :)

the Anko was good, fair enough tank and different voices and acheiveable... tankenstein was not acheiveable for most of us. The present is3 defender also not acheiveable in my view without spending gold. I got to stage 5 but looks like no way will be able to reach the end. Guess gold sales will help but as an average ( not so good player) with one lv 9 tank It is not encouraging....

We already have missions giving little 'bonuses' so for an event it has to be a bit different. A special tank is the best but if it becomes not acheiveable ( without full time playing and no sleep) I think the 'event' has a risk of becoming ignored or counter productive. For WG the numbers who have purchased the is3 defender may make it worthwhile.

What about an event, where you get 50% off next tank purchased, free equipment etc,,,

Also once a tank is fully developed, what about goal of say it's equivalent in research earned and then get reward to to choose different voices? Or get a badge showing on the tank ie like a veteran symbol to show off to other players ( gives incentive to keep battling with it)
