Are their any players from Perth(or anywhere else in Australia)able to play a normal game since the Perth-Singapore cable was cut? PingPlotter and SpeedTest are showing a ping of 220-350 to the Singapore server. The game screen ping indicator is mostly yellow and sometimes red so I haven't played since last week.

From Brisbane, been finding it impossible to play as my ping has gone from 110 to over 300 sometimes as high as 700. Have stop playing.

Only played for the first time in a couple of weeks today in Sydney, and my ping has barely changed. I know I'm not Perth, but it is what it is from my side.

Am in Perth, and ping has gone up to about 220 on wifi but still playable, not much different from playing when streaming from phone when not at home. No flying or submarine tanks. So just grinding on :sceptic:

Thats why I never came back tp the game while in Perth after the Android release first affected pings last year (mine went from 50 to over 200).

Here in Switzerland, i get pings as low as single digits, but never over 40 (unless someone is downloading in the house).
I'll log on when I visit in November, but if the ping is high enough to cause any kind of lag, then there is no way I'll be playing it, let alone topping up the gold in my account thats for certain!

WoT Blitz - :Legend of BBIC

But if two tier IX flank - its all over - I'm gonna sit at home and flank while watching pron - and the best flanking shoes? Someone else's Nikes obviously

If you see Tricks and Dix in a plat, just adopt a BBIC playstyle, you can't win - leave your shoes next to your tank, we'll collect them after the game.

Same here. Usually get 0-50 ping but went up to 250-300, often spiking into 500+. Haven't played for 3 weeks... chafing at the bit!

I am up in North Queensland. Ping is always sub par for us, usually 180 to 200 prior to the severed line. It did go to 300 when it was first cut, but has since come back down to around 220. 4 of us play in this household. 1 always plays the US server, his sits on about 300 all the time even since the cut line. I hear him cursing more about lag than he use too but not always, maybe during their peak times?  Here on the Asia server it's not too bad, lags a little but playable. Worst thing is when, you and an enemy pop out to shoot each other...it must take that bit longer for the touch of my fire button to reach the server becuase usually i have tapped that fire button three times before boom...i blow up. So his shot must register before mine. (Surely I am not the only one that hits it multiply times until it fires lol.)  have some bad patches of lag, teleporting tanks...tanks moving in big jumps from here to there to over there, that is when i log out.

Yep, Perth too. Ping still sitting around 220. Anyone heard how the repair is progressing, or an ETA on the fix?

Just checked iiNet network site, the latest report is that repair ship is onsite and performing repairs. The ETR( I guess that means estimated time of repair) is 17/10. Finally we will get our ping back to normal.

I'm in Perth, and on iiNet as well...I wondered why my ping had gone from ~60-70 to 220+ a little while ago. I noticed that 48ton_Ruckus has been commenting on it in his YT videos. He suggested a fix was probably going to be end of the month. My WR has definitely suffered since this issue came up.

Just pinged login.wotblitz.asia

Ping is 130ish, so back to normal.

It was actually 200s around 7-8 this morning.

So they must have started to reroute data back via the Perth Singapore line.

Had a look on whirlpool.

http://forums.whirlp...48&p=-1

Apparently, it was up a tad earlier in the morning as well, then down again.  Probably still in the testing process.

(Also, good to see another WoT player on Whirlpool lol....)

Good stuff. Mine used to be around 180 to 200 prior to the cable issue, went to 300 for a while, then settled back to around 220, but that last battle it was 160 to 180, so that is the best i have ever seen it for my connection here. :)

This will be interesting. My ping has been over 200 pretty much since I started this game.

--- login.wotblitz.asia ping statistics ---

10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0.0% packet loss

round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 115.966/117.446/119.771/1.302 ms
