i personally think this tank is awesome. I'm sitting in a bush (more accurately, 15m behind it) and sniping away. The sloped armour bounces the tier 6/7, and the 300-350 per shot is quite good. Good speed. I like it alot. With the jagpanther 2 now avaliable, this tank seems a little underpowered. great fun it it though.

I can't play it except as a scavenger. I can't snipe because it gets spotted even behind an opaque bush and I can't assault in it because it has inferior armor. The only thing it is good at is one shooting heavily damaged tanks at the end of the game. For that reason I run it with the 105. It was meant for bigger maps.

It's actually my favourite tank by far and one of my best credit earners. I hated it at first till I worked out how to play it (Plus fully upgraded it).

I use it kind of like a medium tank, it's very quick so is great to set up a few flanking shots before popping smoke and getting out of there. Top canon 10.5 does great damage, has good pen and is very accurate allowing you to sit behind the heavies and hammer the opposition through the gaps.

Find some cover, pop out and hammer them and as soon as you take the shot reverse back and right or left, hopefully the instant angle will cause a deflection.

I don't even have any equipment on it, I really should treat it to some as it really deserves it from all the times I use it.

I agree on what people have said about the ferd. It was my worst grind by far! Such a pile of poo when you first get it, everyone can see you and all you have is a pea shooter to hit back with. Ended up cashing in my gold for exp just to get the top gun. Now I like it a lot but it certainly took some getting used to.

The 105mm is great. Just put 2 rounds of AP straight through the front of an IS-6 without even really aiming including the kill shot.

It just reloads so fast, hits so hard and earns so much credits that it is crazy not to drive one every now and again.

Lol.Jpanther is OP tank. Just take a look at  ROF and DPM on its long 88 gun, it is just slightly lower than Jadgtiger 88. It is a fast moving tank destroyer man. Also, you can easily farm credits with this tank. Play as a supporting role, even when you are as a top tier.

Prepare adrenaline boost for tight situation.

Trust me, I am a pure noob. But I can carry any game with my T95.

It's a great machine indeed, especially after tier 7 TDs buff. it got highest HP of any tier 7 TD and can be used as assault gun.

Fantastic  gun performance , medium like mobility, armour that will bounce shots from time to time, even more if you go hulldown. It is one of my fav tanks right now !

I had a Jpanther school me in my Ferd last night, he was slightly behind a rock and kept popping out and hammering me with his 105, meanwhile as I suggested above my return shots kept bouncing as he turned to get back in cover. As much as I hated him, I was like, that man KNOWS how to drive that tank. So next battle I jumped in my Jpanth and schooled some pr!cks! Great times. Excellent credits, should have enough soon to buy either the T9 Jagd or a T8 heavy, not sure what I will go for though.

The thing is that 203 is perfectly capable against tier 8 heavies frontally, while 175 is not.

So while it has a lower DPM, it is far more useful/capable.

Besides, the Su-152 only mounts the 152mm :justwait:

While IS top gun have the same pen, so not a problem

But its a different platform entirely.  The mobility and turret enable it to work well with a lower pen.  Frankly, the even lower pen of 171 on the BP works much better than IS's 175 due to the superior aim time and accuracy.

But in a TD?  The low pen and poor accuracy limits your sniping capability (well, atleast it will reduce your effective DPM due to the misses and bounces).  So you have to stay relatively close, playing mid range support.  Then you add the butter armour and slow speeds, it will be harder to maximise the ROF.  Unlike the JP, where you can snipe unseen from afar, either at the back or flank around, enabling it to fire continuously and actually reaching the maximum DPM.

But bro, SU-152 with the gun is the top dpm in the game now

Why not? If can make use of it this tank will be monster

"IF" is the key word here.  It has the highest DPM, but the question is how effectively can you maximise the DPM?  The high DPM is only useful if you can actually find the opportunity to pen and not take too much dmg in return.  My argument is that with the relatively low pen, a slow/soft TD platform, poor accuracy and aim time.  It will be a lot harder to maximise the ROF/DPM, as compared to the JP.

This is also why the 122-44 will be a much better platform for the 122mm.  Much better armour profile, allowing better close range engagements, much better manoeuvrability to get to the flanks, and depending on the final specs, a much better tank than a 122mm mounted 152 despite the lower ROF.  It actually got a platform to put the DPM to work.

This.  So far, I have no problem farming credits with my Jpanhter using AP shell in tier 9 match because it has more pen than Soviet 122 gun.

I'm sorry to say this again, but the JgP absolutely rocks.  It is a TD that can carry when fighting as top or mid tier, and still finish top 3 even when it is bottom tier.  It has speed to flank, good accurate gun to snipe, decent frontal armor to play assault gun and makes credits almost every time, win or lose.

whats to hate about the JgP?
