thats very true.  It needs at least one tank to support it to really make it effective.  Otherwise it can get swamped too like any other lone tank meeting overwhelming force.  I have over 2000+ battles in my jgP and I roll it out every single day to make credits to play the higher tiers.

jpanther is not a pure brawler. Go together with your teammates and out Dpm anyone you see. Simply but most effective method for me...

German TD has good DPM at tier 6 and 7... also if you look at their power/wt ratio, they are consider very mobile... similar number as average medium tanks.

Good luck on the battlefield!

I had some awesome games in this tank last night.

Hilarious story, in a battle just after I'd taken down a Dragon and was on a massive mission a red player puts over the group chat "Somebody kill that @#$#$ Jagpanther!'

I was giggling, was an awesome battle, ended up losing it after I had to face off against a Panther and IS on my own at the end, but I nearly took the Panther to the grave with me.

I would never sell this tank.

I use the 105 btw people, haven't used the 88 in the while but I don't think there is much in it, I just like alpha as it means you don't have to stay exposed as many times to take someone down.

I also play mostly with the 10,5, the alpha is not like SU-152, but 310 is not exactly low.   However, 8,8 does have a edge on DPM over 10,5, but not by much.

I choose 10,5 over 8,8 also because of the penetration value of 203, instead of 200 on the 8,8. So what tanks has frontal hull at 203mm... AT2 to AT7, T28 Prot., and M103.  Another interesting fact is the 10,5 HE, at pen value of 60, it can pen more tanks with HE than we take notice.  At 420 HE damage, it can get depressing for the OPFOR.  It should have no problem "HE" the newest Type 62 Dragon!!!

Ps. 8,8 is also great for making money because it's much cheaper to shoot 8,8 than 10,5.

Good luck on the battlefield!

I have yet to learn how to use HE in any of my tanks.  :/

I loved the Panther 1. Hated the Panther II.

I loved the JPanther 1. Little did I know that I'd hate its next iteration as well -- the JPanther 2.

Sequels can be bad, eh.

PS: I'm at 39% clip currently. Quite a number of my losses are due to sh***y match making. Think 5 TDs, 1 HT and 1 MT on my team, against 5 HTs, 1 MT and 1 TD. Something is so F with WG or I'm just terribly unlucky.

I dislike the JP2 for one reason, lack of gun depression!!! I could not make it work and sold it after reaching JTiger....

and I sold all German TDs as they are no match for Russian TDs...... the derp gun on SU-152 offers so much fun and able to carry games

I like JP more than JP2

The JP2 stands too tall -- making it relatively easy to shoot at. It's got thin armor.

And the gun? The hell with that gun. Gun accuracy is meh. I had the top gun at some point, and while it is better, the rate of fire is on the slow side so it doesn't help your cause.

My biggest beef with the JP2 is that it is a bloody credit sucker. It will bleed you dry. I came to a point that I got exasperated with it, and decided to just sell it off.

i quite like the jp2 over the ferdinand. its mobility makes it easy to go assault gun if top tier, or to reposition if a flank has collapsed and u need to retreat. the armour (hull) is negligible but the superstructure is pretty strong (300 around, and mantlet excess of 400 considering the mantlet makes up majority of the superstructure), and the gun, well, lets just say dont get hit with it. 440 alpha, 270 pen with AP. and that is a average roll.
