I just bought a tier 6 TD. Upon purchase, it asked if I wanted to spend 550 gold to train my crew to 100%. I did so, but now when I check the crew skills they are not at 100. They are just like any other lower tier TD that I have. What was the gold for then?

If the tier 6 tank is from tech tree, you bought the crew mastery, not crew skill. by using the 550 gold you trained the crew from 50 to 100 instantly. this helped because all of your tank statistics have been improved a lot. But i recommend not to waste tour gold on low tier to get crew mastery.

Thanks! After 1000+ battles I learnt something new. So where is "crew mastery" indicated on the ui? and how do I work on increasing it? I can only see "crew skills". 

I also found this thread. http://forum.wotblit...vs-crew-skills/ It says that your gain mastery from provisions. So only tier 4 and up will help improve the mastery?

to access your crew mastery your tank needs to be 99% or less. (i think)

after you get your crew mastery to 100%, the percentage icon will change to another icon, tap on it to access all crew skills (yea its very confusing)

provisions and vents increase ur crew mastery. if ur tank si 100% they can increase it to >100. 

im not aure about the rest i havent played so long lol

thanks...but I cant see my crew mastery %. I can see crew skills only. I am playing on a pc thru Steam.

thats cuz ur tank’s crew mastery is already 100%

does that mean all the tanks that i get by grinding a line have mastery at 100%?

no each tank has to get it's own crew mastery. crew skills and mastery is confusing for new players.

uh bear with me lol

 

crew mastery: tier 6 tanks and above start with 50% crew mastery. you increase it to 100% by playing games in that tank

crew skill: applies to all the tanks. each tank type has different crew skills to grind. you can increase it to lvl 7 by griniding the respective tank type (etc light tank medium tank)

thanks! skills is completely clear to me now.
just elaborating my earlier q re mastery... my tier 1-5 had no crew skills icon or mastery% when i got them. skills became visible to all tanks after i got the tier 6. for my existing tier 1-5 tanks, and any new lines i start at tier 1.... are their mastery at 100%?

thanks. it would be handy if wotb add mastery% info to our tanks to make it simple to know
