Angling works ok as long as your side is hidden behind something solid. If you get caught in the open, show a bit of side armour and watch their gun. When they are about to fire, turn to point at them enough that they will ricochet of they got the side. Hopefully they'll still have AP loaded and will bounce off your front armour, or they hit your side and ricochet.

Tiger 2 has weak side armor. I dont think he is able to sidescrape. Would be better if he hulldowns with the small turret and ample 7 degrees of gun turny downy.

Side armour is 80-100mm, so nothing in the game can overmatch. HEAT will be a problem but anything firing AP or APCR can be forced to ricochet, regardless of pen values.

I get what you're saying, but that's kind off a 50:50 situation. (Yamato) Just watch some tips of youtubers imo and you'll get the basic info about playing it. Through time and experience, you would be able to learn new strategies in playing it.

"if you get caught in the open" is the key bit. It's not something you'd plan to do, it's the thing you do when the situation has already gotten away from you and you're just trying to minimise the damage you'll take.

For me, facing a tiger II in the open and he's trying to bait a shot on his side, I'll probably just load prammo and shoot straight through his upper front plate. So you're absolutely right, it's probably not even a 50/50 chance, but when you're in that situation, what else are you going to do?

Don't hulldown. Plenty of tier 8s and some tier 7s will be able to pen the front of your turret. Personally I prefer to sidescrape or just point eh front at them with a little bit of angle.
if all else fails, YOLO!!!!!!!!!!!

If you move back and forth, most of the shells will bounce off the gun mantlet. Plus almost all t8 tanks and all t7 tanks(if even apcr can pen it) will need APCR to even have a slight chance of penetrating the turret. Hulldown is a completely viable strategy in the tiger 2.

But seriously, the Tiger II does have weak cheeks. Any idiot who knows how to aim or switches to premium will go through you.

Most people dont know how to aim or switch to prammo. And so, the tiger 2 has good armour. You could say the same for the Emil 1 and 2s turret prammo goes right through but how often do you see them taking damage while they are hulldown? Almost never

The difference being, although the emil has less base armor, it's well angled unlike the Tiger, which is almost flat.

ez tbh
KT have this Thicc frontal armor
your job is to face to the direction of enemy gun, always peek a boo/ shoot then back to cover to minimize any attempt of retaliation
Hulldown is OK i guess but its better to minimize your presence to the enemy so they wouldnt target your commander cupola weakpoint or front drive sprocket
since armor buff IS series guns cant reliably penetrate/cant even penetrate you unless they switch to premium rounds , the only thing is dangerous against you are flanking enemy or TD's especially Tier IX guns, other than that, you are in pretty comfortable place with King Tiger at this post buff state
