Hello commanders!

The stats for the BP 44 have been uploaded to Blitzhangar.

As far as I can see, the ARL 44 is the slightly better tank. The DPM, penetration, and dispersion are superior to the BP 44. The aim time however is still the same at 1.7s (still really good). The BP 44, has a 105mm gun dealing 310 dmg per shot. While that is large against Tier V tanks, it is not really anything special. The Dicker Max has a similar gun, and if you wanted high damage per shot, a KV-2 or SU-100Y will probably suit you better. The penetration is great at 170mm, just a little less than the Sherman Firefly IC H's 17pdr with 171mm of penetration, but it looks poor compared to the 212mm of penetration on the DCA 45 of the ARL 44. Frontal armor is slightly better than the ARL 44, but considering that the ARL 44's frontal armor is pretty much unchallenged except by premium rounds from other ARL 44s and 17pdrs, as well as some Tier VII premium rounds, it doesn't really mean much. The side armor is still poor, the weakpoint behind the drive wheel is exactly as it is on the ARL 44, and the turret cheeks, have been unchanged from the ARL 44. Tier V tanks can exploit it if well aimed. The machine gun port on the right lower corner of the front plate has been removed, however no one really aims at that so it won’t make a difference. The mobility is just a dash better, but will not mean much either, as it really is only 1 extra degree of traverse, and a little better hp/t.

Therefore, unlike the KV-122 Thunder, the BP 44 is probably the same if not worse than the ARL 44 if driven by a good player. To a below average player, the BP 44 will probably be better, as it can trade more efficiently.

The BP 44 is not P2W, and oh boy am I happy about that, and guess what, because it's a battle pass, it won't discourage anyone from purchasing it. Way to go WG! We need more tanks balanced like this!!!

Is the gun the 105mm that can be mounted on the tech tree arl44?  Or a different (same calibre) gun with different specs?

the guns are almost the same. slightly more dpm, better aiming time, better penetration and less penetration loss over distance.

all in all, the gun is very slightly better. you probably wont see the difference between the arl gun and the eraser gun.

its basically the same as the arl with the 105mm gun. nothing more nothing less.

imo,its not worth the battle pass money. the arl with the 90mm is going to be a lot better. and if you want to play the eraser, mount the 105mm on the arl. the only advantage is that it looks better than the arl.

I don't buy the battle pass for the tanks tbh - it is clear they are making sure they are not OP. It is everything else that you get that appeals to me. Definitely worth the price regardless of the tanks being meh.

Yes, but even without the BP 44, the pass is still really worth it, people would get the pass just because of that.

The ARL 44’s is the 105mm Canon 13TR, but the BP 44 has the model year added, being the Canon 13TR modèle 45. Really just the same gun where the BP 44’s is a touch above in almost (I think) every way. But then, you don’t drive the ARL with the 105 anyway, and the 90mm is far superior if you ask me.

That's the great thing about them is that they are so balanced people will stop playing them within 3-4 months like the Thunder and P.43 Anni.
