Problem is, by avoiding TDs at all costs, you are missing out on one of the most important crew skills in the game. Camo.
You do realise that once unlocked, the crew skills are applied to ALL tanks and not just the category in which they were unlocked?
you may be right, but i do not really factor camo in my battles. i always notice that the enemy is usually spotted in plain sight. very seldom do i encounter people who can successfully hide, so yeah

The first two are paper-thin light tanks - so no armor.
Russian TDs have decent armor and derpy guns but they are far from fast. I would also say that the guns are Russian (so innacurate).
None have all three of armor, speed and good gun in abundance.
I won't call them paper. With a bit of sidescraping, both of them can block most same tiered shots and some higher tiered ones too. 40mm side armour is very good for a light.

Nobody can hide forever but you would be surprised at how advantageous it can be to have that camo crew skill fully unlocked. A good player can abuse that advantage very well.

Paper to HE is the MT-25.
For LTs they may have good armor but my point was that you will never get a tank that has exceptional speed, armor and gun. It would be OP. Think the armor of the Maus, the speed of the Lttb and an accurate, fast-firing gun with big alpha.
Lts should excel in mobility and view range. Their guns are usually decent enough but their armor when compared to most other types of tanks on the battlefield is weak. Mts are the allrounders and HTs are there for the armor.

The t95 at tier 9 has great armour, a good fast tiring gun with big alpha and it's very fast
