@TnkDztroyer
You think you're having it bad? This was the general sentiment of people when the Lightmares were nerfed back then and how the introduction of Leos and other German lights made hell for them.

http://forum.wotblit...__fromsearch__1

IMO, WG overdid the nerf (as usual) but having buffed Leos nowadays isn't exactly the same when there were also other German lights making mincemeat out of everyone at Tiers 4-7.

That aside, it will always be the driver/tanker that makes the Leo OP.

This is true, the driver is what makes a LEO OP more than anything else but even average players can rule in it.

When a tank is so clearly the best in its class in a mid-tier, you get all the good players coming down and using it as a free winrate boost. An experienced player will excel in that tank compared to somebody coming up the tiers and driving it for the first time while still learning the game.

I find my experience in Vk16 suggests that MM might not actually be rigged in the sense that they will put a unicum Leo in red team to balance against you in blue team.  MM might still favour new players by putting them in upper tier, but thats not so bad. Though occasionally its very painful to have your team full of beginners in tier 6 heavies while the enemy has good tier 6 HT. Not easy for Leo to fight a tier 6 HT.

My experience in Leo also reinforces the lesson that spotting plus damage wins game. Doing top damage in your team doesn't mean anything if your team gets sniped by unspotted red tanks (beginner logic - if i don't see any red tank, it means no one can shoot me)

lol so true! in my last game on Rockfield I drove around some rocks and straight into a Nightmare in a bush and three other reds behind rocks. I lasted only a few seconds, lol. all because none were spotted!

I've only been playing for about a year, so I don't have any knowledge of much of the history of the game before then

out of curiosity i went to the EU and USA forums, I don't see any separate thread discussing the buffed VK16.02. If it isn't causing USA and EU servers any problems maybe it wont be nerfed after all... i can always hope :coin:

Just type on google search "WoT Blitz EU forum" or "WoT Blitz America forum". You'll find those.

I went on a little birthday sortie for my Gustav Panzer and encountered a pair of Leos. I had little to no trouble in making a mess out of the Leos. Again, for as long as I don't play their game, they should be manageable. Of course, the Leo is now a better tank before, courtesy of the buff, bringing it back to its glory days form but nothing unmanageable

It just shows that Asia server is generally behind of them in terms of skill. The overall player base I mean, not individually.

Is there any other tier 5 LT that can circle a T1 Heavy which is pretty fast? Nerf Leo, T1 Heavy becomes OP.

EU forums nobody complains about Leo....

Brother, if us old timers have learned how to handle Leos way back when it was introduced alongside the Luchsifer, creating the German "Lightmare" epidemic, then surely you can learn how to handle them too. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of replay videos out there that you can watch where players, using the tier V tank of their choice, have managed to handle the Leos. And those videos are either a few years old or very recent.
