We can all agree that the TD spam at tier 10 is horrible with 3 on each side every match, especially with the 183s running around at least 1 every match. Considering that the alpha of the 183 can’t be nerfed (because it wouldn’t be a 183 anymore, and also JPE100 would be next), why not nerf the HESH pen to 150-175mm as currently is can hesh through the front of many tanks (any medium, the lower plates of many heavies - I’ve gone through an is7s lower glacis before), and/or also an increase in reload time to 25-30s to reduce its brokenness in endgame situations. Understandably, this tank is already quite difficult to play well in consistently, however, the spam of this tank stagnates battles too much, often destroying the chance for any tank to push up.

Also on another note maybe reduce the armour values for the 183 all over to 10mm because I’ve bounced more shots in the 183 from e100s than I’ve deserved. This would also make it much more susceptible to HE and give it the paper armour it deserves.

In last meet up with devs community contributors asked what they are going to do about it and devs were very reluctant to answer. Ultimately they said they have no plans to nerf HESH 'performance'.

My guess is that  FV215b-183 is very popular and playerbase is so polarised that doing anything will likely to make the other half angry. Unless they find absolutely middle ground to 'balance' 183 nothing will happen to its gun.

yeah but to what extent is 240mm of high explosive pen justifiable? They’ve balanced the new Brit TD line pretty well (with exception of the charioteer - could still use another 25mm loss on hesh pen) but just left the 183 as it is.

Why is wargaming bringing so many td lines anyways. So many 150mm guns in the game which makes tier 10 pretty hard to play in lightly armoured vehicles.

About 183 i agree that making its armour (if wargaming doesn't want to nerf hesh) like grille would balance it. As it will be easier to clear out. Or otherwise reduce the alpha of premium hesh maybe.

As I said in my main points Alpha cannot be touched, or a whole lotta other rebalancing has to occur. Hesh is special to Brit tanks, but it shouldn’t have such a high pen that it’s broken.
