I'm on my way to finding out that one out for myself... Currently on the AMX12... But on the other hand... The way things are going with the AMX12 and once I move on to the AmX13 75, I might end up agreeing with you... But at this point in time, I'll personally give it the benefit of the doubt since I'm still adjusting to an autoloader type of AFV...

I absolutely loved my 12t. Buuuut...

What's with the reservation on the 12t bro? Am I missing out on something?

the clip has waaay more power and the tank itself feels more durable. The 12t is also smaller

I have yet to feel the said clip's power even though I already have the top gun. I must have been so used to single-shot gun like those of the Panther or ELC. That being said, I'm still trying to figure out the 12t :/

Some parts of the tank are terrible, some parts are excellent.  The trick is learning how to accentuate the positives, while minimising the negatives.

I found the ELC, 12T, 13 75 and 13 90 reasonably consistent in play style.  Very fast, decent clip damage, no armour, poor pen and mediocre gun handling.  Oh, and bugger all gun depression and elevation.

Those attributes say that you should play these tanks as aggressive scouts.  Get spots early, then disengage and harass from the sides and rear.  Avoid getting pinned on the front line or pushed by reds.  Never shoot at a tank that is looking at you.  Retain your hit points for the endgame where your clip damage becomes decisive.

Get any of those wrong and it's a frustrating experience.

I've been enjoying the 12t although I find the lack of depression difficult to manage in drive-bys, it seems like I'm almost always missing at least one shot and often two as I hit a tiny bump.

I'm kind of looking forward to the extra 2 degrees but I'm expecting the much tighter elevation angle to be a problem, and I'm definitely not looking forward to trying to get through a VK100 or IS-5 with a tier VI gun.

Looking at the 13 75 on blitzhangar certainly gives me the impression it's going to be a very challenging tank to use!

Maybe not so bad. This was at about 78% crew (free XP'd the top modules and fully equipped though).

Gents, it looks like I'm going to have to delay my learnings on the French fast-movers. I went back to my turreted TD roots, sold whatever tanks I'm no longer happy with, including the AMX 12t, and went with the new British Turreted TDs.

I'll come back soon for these little buggers but if I'm going to be honest with myself, they are good, great even, but they have a very different learning curve that demands dedication (and passion) from the driver/player. It is something that I cannot give to it at the moment. It might be a while before I drive anything past the ELC.

Whoa, nice and congratulations :) I'll be back for the 12t but right now, I'm just being honest with myself which tank type I'll spend time on more and since I'm one of those who were looking forward to the turreted Brit TDs, I might as well go for what I have been waiting for a long time now.
