Useless tank. slower than a wet week, pea shooter for a gun, takes forever to turn, and expensive to upgrade. but I have to have it to get the Churchill Mk1. :( the sooner this grind is over the better! Having said that tho, I notice my winrate is 72.73% after 11 games, lol

It's a good tank - the gun isn't as penetrating or as fast-firing as it was before 5.5, but this and the Valentine are two tanks you can really dominate in if you know what you're doing.

It was awful in stock condition. yes, the gun is fast firing, but it doesn't do much damage, so it needs to be fast firing!

You just need to have confidence in your troll armor at tier 4 and use its DPM to beat tanks to a pulp. Keep pushing forward, piling in shots and watch them bounce on you as yours keep chipping away at their hitpoints. Only tanks you really need to worry about are the DW2 and Valentine really.

I've also rammed in it too

don't see many of either of those, as they're both collector tanks now, so many would have been sold, especially since the nerf of 5.5. also, need to avoid KV1. I hate KV1! they're sneaky and hard to kill

Yeah I meant at same tier - when lower tier you have to worry about most tier 5 tanks really.

Yup, guess there are fewer DW2 and Valentines around which is good news for the Matilda - I kept all my collector tanks though so I am still there waiting to chew up Matilda's :)

yeah, I forgot Matilda was tier 4. I always seem to be lower tier when playing it. so often there's a KV1 on the opp team.

I see now it's 15k for turret and guns, and 5k for tracks and engine, so 20k all up to max it out. not so bad now then :)

Hah!! It's my most enjoyable tank. Trolly armor.

A D.W., a B1, a Matilda, and an A-20 versus me at Port Bay. Guess who won

Well you were tier 5 against 4 x tier 4 in a tank with armor that is very difficult for them to pen. Simple, take them out in this order, DW2, Matilda, then take a break for 3 minutes laughing at the B1 and A20 doing their best but failing at penning you. I would then take out the A20 before he invariably runs away and then face hug the B1 blowing kisses at him while he consistently pecks you on the cheek.

Sorry, forgot to mention it was a year ago. Before Matilda has current armor value.

And what is it with you keep saying Matilda is tier 5? Armor? Well newsflash, buddy... The mobility and the peashooter of a gun is nothing to be proud of versus tier 5s. And considering a Matilda's gonna take 2 years to reach the engaging range, it tends to be left behind. ALONE. Now add one Leopard The Explorer...you get the gist?

Unless....you misunderstood my post and thought that I was talking about Churchill?

Where have I ever said (let alone 'kept' saying) that the Matilda is tier 5? Think you confusing me with someone else buddy.

Anyway, I see what has happened here - The conversation directly above you was about the Churchill so assumed you were talking about that tank.

I was confused too about what tank he was refering to. this is why it's a good idea to quote what you're replying to. and whilst we might think our post will appear under the one we're replying to, by the time it gets posted someone else may have posted in the meantime, so it appears under theirs, and the continuity is broken.
