The T14 is excellent, it does struggle a little against the KV1, but most tanks in tier do. Carry some prammo for those times. But overall it is excellent, great armour, ok gun depression and good mobility.

Gentleman Tanker.

Churchill III is like all other Churchills...... very very slow so you need to adjust to that slow style of play. If you just drank red bull don’t drive slow tanks  :)

excelsior is a better choice, you did the right chose i think, i don't want to put down any tank but from my experience churchill is good against lower tiers but has a bad reputation against higher tier, churchill is too slow besides it only cause small damage which is only good to kill dying enemy because of a fast reloading time

Churchill III, Excelsior, or T14?

excelsior would be my choice. however, you should be careful of what you choose because every tank has its own playstyle.

the Excelsior is basically a heavy version of the Cromwell tank. excellent reload of around 5 seconds can pound the enemy easily, however, you are easily penetrated by mediums at your tier so be careful with that. it is a very fast heavy tank at around 45kmh and can relocate to supply the frontline easily.

The t-14 is a heavy Sherman. the gun is not particularly great but the angled armor enables the tank to side scrape quite nicely. the Churchill and Excelsior are also good sidescrapers. the slowest among the three is the Churchill as well as it also being the most heavily armored. I would recommend the Churchill if you want a little variety because it gives you 2 guns to select. one having more alpha than the other with higher penetration. but remember that there are a lot better payments you can make such as the Russian Matilda IV (a fav of mine)

I hoped this helped

remember the Churchill has a high rate of fire on 2 guns you can select from so it is pretty competitive at its tier.
