you can't blame ppl for not being good players. we are all limited by our ability

They need to be penalized in some way.

Blocking them from the tier for at least a week if they get enough downvotes(say 10 or 15 downvotes over 48 or 72 hour) for inactivity or unsupporting conduct seems fair.

They can then practice their skills in lower tiers.

Getting a down vote does not depend so much on your game play as it does on you team mates negativity.

You could have a really bad game and not get any down votes because everyone on your team is OK with it.

On the other hand you have an average game and get down voted by someone who thinks down voting is part of each game.

Down voting is just something WG added so angry players can let of steam and not waste WGs time with complaints against other players.

It's working as intended so WG won't change it.

Every system is perfectly designed to produce exactly the results that it produces

Sounds about right. Even the best players sometimes end up with a 0 damage game. Besides, most of the rage seems to occur when people get themselves killed early, and instead of asking themselves what they did wrong, they spend the rest of the battle blaming and abusing their team mates (the ones who are actually playing well enough to survive and so damage). A more punitive downvote system will only give such petulant players a way to make themselves even more irritating.

If it is “working as intended” then it was never meant to be a solution to punish/teach players who regularly afk and/or display unsupporting conduct.

I agree there are sometimes undue downvotes, but if the player is getting as much as 10-15 downvotes over the span of only 48 hours, then they are probably doing something very wrong and deserve to be punished with a tier ban for a week.

a single disgruntled player that behaves that way would not have the ability to get anyone banned. I have seen those types as well, but they are maybe one in every ten games.

Again, there needs to be a solution to punish/teach players who regularly afk and/or display unsupporting conduct.

Huh???

nobody sends “obscene” messages to players that try hard and have a basic decent damage score.

Understand????

yeah, but players that are either new or not that bright would be hit really hard if unlimited downvotes were added

Make the number of available downvotes per battle, the same as the number of available upvotes per battle, nice balance.

IF new players cant/wont accept feedback/guidance during battle, they need to be downvoted.

I am tired of the number of occasions where I couldn't downvote - the AFK, the guy who pushed me into enemy fire deliberately, the guy who abused nubs, etc simply because I ran out of those downvotes because I play Lots of games and those downvotes can run out fast with the way some players repeatedly play.
