Hi fellow tankers! Hope you all enjoying the fantastic new map Faust!

Anyway to topic...

Yesterday I was doing a few battles in Leo 1, Object 268 and T34 when I finally decided to point this out. It seems that 105mm cannons and 120mm cannons do almost the same damage. Basically all the time both my leo 1 and T34 independence do about the same damage per shot - about 350-400. That’s 15mm difference. Meanwhile the 152mm on 268 which is 30mm large does basically double the damage - 700-800. Does no one else find this sort a weird? Additionally, I must have really triggered a T110E5. He shoots me, and does 364, I shoot him back and do 397. Being a heavy, he must have been really surprised/triggered he failed a damage trade with a flipping med.

And the Sovs with their 100mm does somewhat lower average damage then the higher tier 105mm guns in my observations. Not necessarily when compared to the M46`s 105mm, maybe more noticeable if you pit the T-54 against the 105mm L7/ M68.

Yes it is weird cuz high tier 120mm guns lose their alpha advantage. Still wotb's 105 does 350 avg dmg instead of wot pc's 390 dmg, which makes 120's 400 dmg always meaningless in terms of alpha.

Tanks that are my babes: WT auf Pz4 (OP/ridiculously strong and I love it), E50M, T-54, E50, Obj268, Hellcat, Bromwell, KV2, ISU152, LTTB, T54 LWT, JP2, IS7

Tanks that I hate: KV4, Tanks driven by bots or poor players (especially below tier 5),

Tanks that I am trying to ACE: KV4, Y5 ELC

shell velocity changes damage output alot. it is applied in this game quite realistically i feel. the thing is that the t34 and the leo 1 are 2 tiers apart and it makes sense that they do the same damage. whilst the heavies at the same tier do 400-800 damage per shot. thats double the maximum damage the leo 1 does. i hope that helped.
