Hello fellow Tank Comanders,

In my humble opinion, the IS7 is the best overall tank in Tier 10.

Nothing compares to it’s complete package of agility, armor, and firepower. That is why i call it the “Terminator”. Newcomers should look at climbing the IS7 ladder from the start of their careers, if they aspire to play in the tier ten level eventually.

Does anyone disagree?

The IS7 is a great tank and at one point of time it was by far the best t10 heavy but at the moment I would have to say that the IS4 is better for a few reasons . The IS4's armour is much more predictable than the IS7 meaning that you can angle and side scrape it to much greater effect than the IS7 which has a pike nose . The pike nose is great but sometimes that's the reason the tank gets penned , whereas the IS4 is much more reliable in blocking shots . The other part where the IS7 is beat is the gun , calibrated shells give the IS4 , 374mm of heat pen which it makes it very easy to go through the front of heavily armoured tanks such as the maus and IS7 . The IS7 only gets to 318mm of pen with apcr using calibrated shells . The gun is more accurate dispersion wise and while its not that big of a difference its still very notable in game . Mobility is an area the IS7 is better than the IS4 but the IS4 is not slow at all either so I'd say its not that major of a bonus point .

They are both great tanks but the buffs to the IS4 make it the best heavy in my opinion (Comparing between different classes is quite difficult )

Personally, I think IS4 is better.

Mainly IS4 has better armament, IS7 struggles agsinst IS4, MAUS and even E5. Moreover, IS4 has smaller lower plate.

It can't do 50km/h but it's fast enough.

While maus is still better at bullying  with a pack IS4 can bean maus 1 on 1.

So it's IS 4 for me.

Lol you’re joking right. Nothing about IS7 is amazing. It’s armour isn’t great - I’ve never even bounced it with Obj 268. It’s speed isn’t great - it can’t even keep up to any of the meds at all. It’s gun isn’t great - mediocre dispersion and pen. However, it always depends on the driver so I guess an experienced driver can call IS7 the best. On the other hand, the best ‘all rounder’ is definitely E50M. It actually has good armour, brilliant manoeuvrability and a well... legit gun. I don’t have it, but it’s stats and performance are enough to prove its capability and lethality. Definitely a fantastic jack of all trades.

Some good and fair points above.

However, i have not enountered any other tank that i cannot dismantlle using my IS7. Maybe, like so many tanks, it all depends on the driver skills?

Did you watch the video and see how the Terminator takes a brutal beating and yet still managed to carry the game and wrecks all the others?

That noob Esh got the Maus some time ago . He trolled around for about 50 game with 40% wr in Maus . Then he sold it . Using the spare parts cash he bought the Maus back . His 30 day win rate was a few days ago close to 70% solo in Maus . His overall wr in Maus has climbed to 57% . For a total noob playing 100% solo  a 57% wr at tier 10 says the tank is OP . IS7 requires a competent player . Even a noob can do well in a Maus . There is a reason legion played 4 Maus against C4 and not 4 is7 .

There isn't any universal "best tank" at tier X. every tank has their own strengths and weakness where they would outperform one over another in certain circumstances. for instance IS-7 would performly poorly in hilly terrains while T110E5 and Chieftain Mk.6 can deal with them with ease.

It's about how you use it. If you use it correctly, every given tank can beat any given tank.

From a perspective of an avid medium tank driver.  IS7 is more fearful.  IS7 can travel to position faster despite weaker front armor than Maus, IS7 can deal with verity of situation better than Maus.  I tend run away from Maus and kill other fast tank first, because Maus is not going anyway far of fast, unlike IS7 which can get to various position and target faster.  Once you get close to Maus side, he is pretty much candy for most medium tank or even IS7.

Sorry Gandalf_Greyhame, but Maus is not best HT at tier X.  I do say that Maus have fear factor, but if he is alone he pretty much candy.

I agree that skills make the biggest impact on WR in most tanks, but there are also some relatively very weak tanks that have almost zero positive attributes and are wasting parking spaces.

However, i would still argue that with skills being equal, the IS7 has the best balance of firepower, agility, and armour. Therefore it is the best GENERALIST to carry games under all circumstances/terrain/enemy in the field.

The IS7 is not a specialist tank that only thrives with one or two key attributes. It doesnt have an “Achilles heel(s)” like so many of the specialists tanks have.

I dont recall coming across a Maus that had much impact on a game. They tend to be easily flanked dead-whales, and usually not able to fully support their team because of snail-like agility. I would classify it as a specialist tank and not a well balanced generalist.

Don’t forget that even without cover, you can angle a Maus to a minimum 330mm everywhere except that slight bit of side armour up the front, and where the tracks are. Plus, mice will often bounce medium shells that they didn’t even see coming.

Even if you do use premium shells, lower damage is the last thing you need when you have 2500-2650 HP to rip through. Flanking only happens when the enemies know that they can kill you before anyone has time to save you, which isn’t often as long as you don’t stray too far.

I don't find Maus difficult to deal with even in tier 9 Tank, E50 might be bit more challenging.  But event tissue tank like Type 61 can pen Maus side no problem.  Also Maus track is bigger than IS4 lower plate, you can't really miss.

In that case, I can whole heartedly, recommend Maus to any beginner and pro, it is much better tank than IS7 and people should drive more Maus.  Also it does handle Death Star very well.  Test drive your Maus today at any Porsche Dealer near you.
