I looked at the team list, and saw that we had a MT advantage, and a HT disadvantage. Going by random encounter battles, most nub KV1S will go C anyways, so no point trying anything funny. I know the P.43 was a bit more OP than most meds, so that was another advantage. Reds had a Sentinel and a T-34-1. I didn't count on our team's T-34-85 to go C. (This could so totally bomb in my face once I saw that on the minimap and I was mentally composing my post battle apologies at that point) It looked like Red HTs will also go C, afterall they had the advantage there. Going A was predictable, and we might get sniped from the bushes like you said. Besides the KV13's gun depression was poor, so I took a calculated risk to go B, because I figured I could outbrawl the first tank (either the Sentinel or the T-34-1) that comes charging at me. My gamble was that my team will be behind me giving fire support. Which they did. Once I spotted the Kuro sniping at the bushes looking at A, I knew he was nub, so was worth ignoring him. Once B was capped and the T-34-1 dealt with, thanks to my team. At that point I felt bad for kill stealing, that wasn't my intention. I trusted the P.43 and flatpanzer to deal with the kuro, as I turned towards C and provided flanking fire. I wasn't expecting the kuro to kill them both though. But still I thought he wouldn't be a handful if we got further down to the line. I kind of knew that he would be the last one to dispatch. hope this answers your question. Yes, definitely a calculated risk. The most important thing was that the KV1S in general is badly driven by most players, even good players struggle due to the long reload. They are only dangerous when you notice that they can sidescrape and find an advantageous position. And also just by seeing where the tanks go, you can kind of judge whether they are threatening or useless. The red Jpanther wasn't smart, neither was their Sentinel that went C and did nothing. I guess overall the luck tilted on my side in this battle.

Hi Ambulant, thanks for walking me through that! Even though I've got plenty of games in now, I still struggle a bit to look at a red's play and see that they don't know what they're doing. Same with greens in fact. Sometimes I can recognise a player or clan tag and know to support that tank which always helps.

Had a good game this morning in my ISU-122S, on Himmelsdorf, which is a map I dislike and especially when playing a TD. We were helped by a couple of the red tanks deciding to put themselves in the middle of the town square, under fire from 2 sides, although to be fair they may have expected their LT, MT and TD to clear the trains since our Cromwell was busy bouncing shells off their KV-3. Even though our Type 58 got himself deleted early being too aggressive, I survived a good charge from the reds and with excellent teamwork & target selection from our Challenger we managed to clear the trains and bring the reds in the square under crossfire. The rest of it was pretty much a done deal, I got a very lucky bounce from the KV-3 while tunneling on the SU-100M1 but all's well that ends well.

Even though the reds were indeed plebs, that was a very nice replay. Was very pleased with the very efficient movement, map awareness, target selection, and overall low wastage of time.

3 men down in 1st minute. As it played out to the end, I found myself in a 1v4. Sadly, i caught fire on the last guy. Bounced off 6/13 enemy shots in a Panther lolol.

Hi Boss,

That's a nice game! Yes, plenty of good moves, love how you skirted around A cap just so you don't give reds a clue where you are. Heheh. Now I'm not always so situationally aware, it just happened that I was in a good zone that day. Perhaps it's because I've quit alcohol recently. Perhaps is because I had a good night's sleep. Anyways, like you said, it's always good to have some luck as well.

Finally got my Flatpanzer Mastery!  Though frankly, I'm not very sure how much skill was involved. At least the afk tank served a purpose in distracting the enemy reds right at the end.

Here's another YouTube video made by the Great Red Dragon of my T29 mastery. He's happy to upload replays for you guys if they're interesting in anyway. Do message him if you're keen. I like this mastery effort because of the sidescraping that I did and also the fact that I was on a 6 game losing streak and really wanted that to end.

Great job staying calm, you were getting massively trolled by your gun there ("that's gotta hurt"  "critical hit" for 0 dmg and a couple of unlucky misses. Good work tracking and jamming on the SU too, and a nice lucky break when neither of those KV-2 drivers turned out to know which way around too load the shell into the breech!

For reference, on what you need for Mastery in the 'nerfed-then-improved' Leo.

Phwoar... looks like the Leopard is benefitting much from 6.4 Now the trick is to be able to tell at the start of the battle if it is going to be driven like Erwin, or by a totally YOLO nub... I'll just try following and supporting a Leopard in my tier 5 games for the next few days. It might be a good winning tactic, although I will most likely be picking up the crumbs in terms of damage.

Here's another video from the Great Red Dragon. It's a very good example of winning the hill at Mines.

LOL seems like the right season for T29s! Here's a fail mastery on Castilla.

I'm afraid I get pretty rude at the end. Watch the video and I guess decide for yourselves if I was out of line...
