Asia Spring Season Championship

Vehicle tiers: IX–X.

Registration time: from 20 April 9:00 (UTC +8) to 27 April 12:00 (UTC +8).

Duration: from 27 April to 29 April 2018.

Battles start: 27 April, 20:00 (UTC +8).

Control mode: touch.

Maximum number of teams: 64.

Number of players in a team: 7 starting players plus 2 backup players. A minimum of 5 players per team must enter the battle.

Battle duration: 7 minutes.

Battle mode: Supremacy.

Interval between battles: 1 minute.

 

• After you have created the team and enrolled the required number of players, tap the Register button to confirm the registration.
• If the minimum required number of team members (5 players) does not turn up for the battle at the set time, the match will be forfeited for this team.
• A special room for matches will be automatically created 5 minutes before the start of the first battle. Check the Notifications section for the invitation.

 

Tournament Stages, Tournament System, and Battle Format

 

• Play-off (Single Elimination system): from 64 to 16 teams in one group (depends on amount of registered teams). Battle format: Bo5. Grand Final format: Bo9.

 

Maps and Schedule of Matches

 

The precise start time of matches will be displayed in the game client after the drawing. All maps are played in Supremacy mode. There are several maps for each round. Two battles are held on the same map with the spawn point swapped after the first battle, then the map is changed.

• 1/32: 27 April, 20:00 (UTC +8). Maps: Oasis Palms, Fort Despair, Canyon.
• 1/16: 27 April, 20:45 (UTC +8). Maps: Mayan Ruins, Dynasty's Pearl, Oasis Palms.
• 1/8: 27 April, 21:30 (UTC +8). Maps: Canal, Dead Rail, Canyon.
• 1/4: 28 April, 20:00 (UTC +8). Maps: Port Bay, Castilla, Fort Despair.
• Semifinals: 28 April, 20:45 (UTC +8). Maps: Naval Frontier, Canal, Port Bay.
• Match for third place: 29 April, 20:00 (UTC +8). Maps: Fort Despair, Dead Rail, Dynasty's Pearl.
• Grand Final: 29 April, 20:45 (UTC +8). Maps: Castilla, Oasis Palms, Canyon, Naval Frontier, Dead Rail.

 

Some round can be canceled if enough teams won’t register. 

 

Streaming

 

You can find stream on PKOnBlitz channel. Stream will have started from 1/4 matches 28.04.2018 and continue 29.04.2018 from third place to the end of the tournament.
 

Tournament Prize Fund

 

Prize fund of this tournament depends on amount of teams, which have registered.

 

In case, if 32 or more teams registered:

• 1^st Place: 4 000 gold, 17 156 250 credits and 68 750 spare parts for team.

• 2^nd Place: 3 200 gold, 13 343 750 credits and 50 000 spare parts for team.

• 3^rd Place: 2 800 gold, 10 675 000 credits and 35 000 spare parts for team.

• 4^th Place: 2 500 gold, 7 625 000  credits and 21 000 spare parts for team.

• 5^th - 8^th Places: 2 200 gold, 5 718 750 credits and 12 250 spare parts for team.

 

In case, if from 16 to 31 teams registered:

 

• 1^st Place: 2 250 gold, 10 293 750 credits and 41 250 spare parts for team.

• 2^nd Place: 1 650 gold, 8 006 250 credits and 30 000 spare parts for team.

• 3^rd Place: 1 350 gold, 6 405 000 credits and 21 000 spare parts for team.

• 4^th Place: 1 125 gold, 4 575 000 credits and 12 600 spare parts for team.

• 5^th - 8^th Places: 900 gold, 3 431 250 credits and 7 350 spare parts for team.

I mean, We can definitely try to join this one, but this is going to be a big disappointment for the majority of the Asia Tournament clans (because a lot of them uses keyboard)

We are thinking of some fun tournament activities for Asia this summer in case of them (I suppose) we will use touch + keyboard/mouse controls. But most of big tourneys will be presented with touch controls as a part of online/offline eSports activities for top-teams

Just an idea for Touch only tournaments:
 

because a lot of players (including me) uses a weak touch device (which is why we play Keyboard in the first place), how about adding another rule that the match will only start when both teams are fully loaded into the game? and probably add a maximum waiting time of 1 minute just to prevent players from holding the match deliberately

 

because every time when I used my "flagship" touch device it always load in like 5-15 seconds late, making it a disadvantage for us just because we have worse devices.

 

or alternatively, ask your devs to improve the game performance asap.....

As we received many complains from players about lags in tournament - we have decided to reset the brackets and move the tournament forward on one day.

New schedule of the tournament:

We are working on it, to make sure that everyone will get their reward. It will take some time.

Many of you have lags in game at the moment and because of that, the tournament cannot be fair completion.
We decided to move the tournament to the next weekend - 4-6 May.
We will create another tournament, so every team that want to participate in the tournament should register again.

No more tier 6 tournament during weekends?

 

Our clan are quite happy about tier 6 because it is more balanced than tier 8. ( IS 5 spam) 

 

Also . Yesterday we had serious lag and ping spikes in tier 6 and 8 quick tournament.  Please get your servers fixed.

They probably want the teams to focus on Tier X, I am expecting them to remove tier 8 as well

 

as for the lag spikes, WG already knew it yesterday and reset the tournament brackets. A server fix is expected in the near future.

For god sake! Why just touch. What is exactly wrong with you guys. You made the game available on both touch and keyboard. I have been playing the last 4 years on keyboard. I even don't know how to play on a touch device. And I totally do not understand why the tournament is just available in touch mode. It is easy even for a child to understand. If a l game is played in keyboard, its tournaments should be playable on keyboard as well.

Please let me know what part of that WG people to not understand.

We have other tournaments for players who play using a keyboard, but our major tournaments still available only for players who using touch. And we are not planning to change this rule.

I like the 8pm start time. Provides a lot more flexibility for players (after work and after dinner), and it seems to generate more interest based on the number of teams that signed up. 

 

Please consider having more in/off season tournaments with start times varying between 7 and 8pm. Thanks.
