Non-turreted Tank Destroyers are often so misunderstood, people seem to just want to snipe from the back of the map, however I feel they do better when running with the medium tanks. In amongst all that distraction comes some massive alpha damage.

But survival is not always assured, however, isn't the purpose of a TD to do huge damage for the team? This isn't always possible at the back of the map sniping and once you get spotted you get tampered with hard.

I punched out this video explaining some myths, but I want to know, do you like to snipe in a TD or brawl?

Extremely armored or Fast Tank Destroyers can follow mediums or heavy tanks while Paper panzers stick back

I have seen people very effectively run JPanthers with the Mediums also, it's just a technique

For me, to snipe or brawl will depend on:

  1. Type of TD I am using - I will more likely brawl in a fast TD with quick reloads
  2. The map/location - some maps require you to move closer to the action.
  3. Team mate composition - If there is another slower TD in my team, I will let him snipe while I support the meds and heavies. Also depends on the strategy the team adopts.

I like the SU-152 because it’s gun is OP and it has quite good traverse for a heavy TD

the 100M1 line is all about manoeuvrability and bouncy armour

the Jagdpanthers are also good with speed, and the Toaster line is low armour, but plays sneaky (Emil not included)

the British. Do I need to say anything?

French are good with speed and armour

the Americans tier 8 and above are slow and tough
