The recent patch had so many Vk28.01 players up in arms at the nerf to their favourite tank. However I think another german tank at tier 6 has taken its place as one of the most broken. The newly buffed flatpanzer (Jagdpanzer 4) might possibly be the most broken tier 6 tank in the game. It, with a little bit of provisions, can comfortably get up to 45 - 50km per hour and its dpm with the 8,8 is ludicrously good for a tier 6. This tank, I reckon, is the new best tier 6 german in the game. Because it surely ranks pretty high amongst tier 6's.

As i've said elsewhere, the Jp Pz IV is probably a 'tournament worthy' tier 6 tank that can dish out 1 88mm shell every 3.4s with adrenaline on.

For random queues, it is still a turretless TD and you still need teammates who have a clue in order for it to perform well, so most of the time, it will never perform to its true potential.

Sk8txtrm actually stated in his 4.4 update vid that if you want to know what it's like to drive an E25, now you've got the flat panzer.

Given my inadequate/disappointing performance in the Stug III thus far, I've been hesitant try to flat panzer; but I'm definitely seeing plenty around and they're performing well.

Gandalf, I recognised one of my own game play challenges in a recent forum comment you made, re stopping and reversing when we should drive on through. The slow reverse speed in the Stug III certainly punished me heavily for that bad habit. I expect we'd have to outgrow it succeed at either the Stug or flat panzer.

Post-buff, I tried out the flatpanzer as an ersatz  E25, with mixed results.  You need to be a better driver than I am to take advantage of that extra mobility in a turretless TD.

When I went back to trying to be a sneaky mid to long range sniper, I had excellent results.  The ROF buff is noticeable and effective.

it is a lot easier for a KV-2 to hit a Flatpanzer moving at full speed vs an E25 at full speed... :playing:

I now prefer the big Nashorn over the other tier VI ATs,

Almost stopped using the castrated VK 28.01.
