Hi guy's & gal's

Well, been a while since I posted in this thread. Things going well but still a case of "Diamonds and Stones". Mainly head space issues. Some of the thought's are shall we say.......err "quite negative and disturbing".:( There is a "But" to that though. This experience does make one realise that time is precious as we are all truly mortal and not indestructible. So therefor moments are much more precious and should be experienced to the full. This I am trying to do with some success.

Anyway, Enough with the maudlin.

3.8. What can I say. Everyone seems  to have said the things that are relevant in the General Discussion part of this Forum.

When news of the implications of this update came through, I first cleaned out some of my "step through tanks". These I only played for the x2 and x3 and anniversary x5 games. This gave my Credit savings a boost. I had some gold saved so I used that to convert to Free expr and some more credits. This gave me sufficient resource 2 purchase 4 tier VII tanks. 3 of which I truly desired.......Tiger I, Panther and Comet. Also the JPanther, a nice classic TD. I had sufficient gold left over to fully train the crews and did so. Lol, sounds like a wallet warrior doesn't it. If so, guilty as charged. :) This had the benefit of having the first tier of the spare parts unlocked. Poor JPanther has only cammo or optics though. Grrrrrr.

With the meagre spare parts that came I fully equipped a few of my favourite tanks. Naturally the Matilda, PZIII and some others. The KV-I, I ran out of spares on Tier III and selected the wrong slot, I should have gone for the Vstab. Another Grrrr.

If you guys have got the idea that my leanings are to the "classic tanks", again, guilty as charged.:)

Well after all that, I took them for a run (100 or so games) under the new regime. I'll cut a long story short.....It did not go well. Premium tanks every where and Supper busters (Fantasy Tanks) every where. Plus teams either Unicum's or beginners, no one in between. I just wound up left behind or on my own. Always get blown away when that happens. Although I did manage to carry a couple of times once in the Matilda and once in the Tiger (I think even the opfor fainted when that happened I know I did).

Anyways. Sorry to say, I wasn't impressed. Both in game and the whole Equipment issue, I can readily see where you are all coming from.

I have already posted in another thread by Maddoxkkm in General Discussion how I have spent my meagre "play money" on my alternate hobby of model railroading. Safe to say, this will be my policy for some time to come. At least with that Hobby I get to enjoy to the full both the fruits of my labour and the company "face to face" of my fellow model railroaders.

This Game has been a blessing and you guys on this forum are terrific. I don't intend uninstalling this game and I will keep playing a few games from time to time. So Please don't think of this as a goodbye post. Far from it.:)

Well apart from some editing, I think I might end this post here.

So All the best.

Alex

In that statement alone, you summed up one of the worst things that has happened.

Good luck mate. :great:

Edit Note:- "Goof luck" ---- Sheesh, I must have been absolutely "out to it tired" lol.

Hi guys,

Haven't posted here for a while.

Lots of things going on ATM. Also I haven't been feeling that good for some time. This definitely effects my play and also my disposition. Hence the change in my Profile Photo. Lol, maybe it should be a "Bear with a sore head". My friends and family have been understanding thankfully. :great:

After my, shall we say, "blow up" over the Military Honour system I did play through the GUP event as it was relatively easy. I had seen the Anko in game and thought I would like it to go with the Kuro which I got last year. No I don't like the Girly Voices, but the tank itself seems fine. Can't say I was enthused enough to get the Hertzer,  Also found that simple grind a bit to much.

Since then I only went into one tier IV game in the Matilda yesterday to claim the WG offer for the current "birthday" event. Unfortunately, I don't feel like playing ATM to take advantage of the free 24 hour premium time. Oh well, not to worry.

Went ok actually. Came out Top for exp and second for damage done.  Also managed to Clobber (kill) a KV-1 with 615 Hp and 16 penetrations. (Yes he made the mistake of ignoring my beloved Matilda until it was to late). Then I capped (100 exp, thankyou)  and pinged away at anything that came near me. Yes, I had a good team as well. :great:

The MH system I am still concerned with. I got another "Unsporting" during the GUP event Grrrrrr. I may not be very good but...... Leave it Alex, let it go thru to the Keeper.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I had a crack at Tier VII. I got the distinct impression that the Panther I and the Tiger I are in a Tier to high. Certainly the Panther with the 88 is Ok but..... Anyway I drove the IS, 75% crew, No Upgrades and Tier I spares. and it does seem to be in its element. Rather liked it actually. KV3 not so much. Practice, Upgrades, Crew Experience and Spares will definitely help here.

Anyway, that's enough from me for now. Hopefully you haven't become to bored.

Happy tanking,

Alex

I can't believe I haven't posted here before.

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well, Alex. I hope you feel better soon.

The Military Honor system is best ignored, if you can, as you will get down-voted by some enemy players simply because you destroyed their vehicles and even disgruntled teammates (because you destroyed a tank they felt was their kill, etc). As such, it has the potential to add frustration and there are already enough sources of frustration in Blitz. :)

The Tiger I is outclassed in tier 7 (or it was, perhaps the buffs have made it passable now) but I do love it. It's such an iconic tank. I need to play mine to get my kills per battle to 1.0 (the only red stat I have left on it) but the Draculas, Helsings and now the Lupus infestation has made me loath to do so.

Blitz is much better because of the people you get to know.

Hi Gandalf.

Welcome and thankyou for your kind words, They are truly appreciated.

Yes, the poor old Tiger. I can't actually understand WG making it and the Panther I  Tier VII tank's. To my mind, they were contempory's  of the T34-85 and KV-1s. Oh well, At least they are in game and I can set them up in original form and admire them in the garage. Which I seem to do a lot of lately.

Oh those fantasy Tank's. I hate the sight of those things. If I do see them, in game I have a bad habit (or maybe good) of going out of my way to try and knock them out. Doesn't work very often, but boy it feels good if I do.. You are right, they have ruined the game.

I do have 2 1/16th Radio Fighting tanks. The Tiger 1 and The T34-85. And a lot of fun they are as well.

It is rather humorous to watch a 64 year old, "me" chasing his cat around the backyard with a R/C Tiger. Lol.

It is so true, getting to know people on this forum (and even in game sometimes) is really great. And there are a lot of good people here. Its disappointing that we have lost a number of them after 3.8.

I do find it disappointing that I have to decline Platooning quite often as the pain in my hands and fingers is around more often than I want particularly lately. but I can get in the occasional random battle or 2 . Sometimes more, but not often.

The MH. You are right, it's best to "let go through to the keeper".

Any way always nice to hear from you. And I hope you will drop by from time to time.

Cheer's

Alex
