Hello Tankers,

I wanted too take the opportunity to say thankyou for this game which has helped me stay sane, whilst I have been receiving treatment for [edited].

As you could imagine, when that was Diagnosed back in August of 2015, My world started to fall apart. But I held up well until halfway through my treatment (Chemotherapy). I had become quite housebound.

I found the game on the windows shop for free, and gave it a try. I am glad I did. Although the effects of treatment and my difficulty now with thought processing, effect how I play, it is helping me with co ordination and those thought process's.

I might even be good if I can get feeling back in my hands properly. Lol.

Anyway I am starting to slowly head in the right direction. Hopefully I can get back To my Outdoor activity's soon and my other primary hobbies. I.e. Building model tanks. Model trains, and my classic motor car.

I hope this Thankyou gets through to the Creators at some stage. Their hard work is truly appreciated.

I was wondering if there are others who might be in a similar situation who use this game in a similar way?

Kind Regards

Bengal_Tiger23

Chemotherapy (also called chemo) is a type of [edited] treatment that uses drugs to destroy [edited] cells.
no one in the forum has yet to say what they suffer from....

I don't know why the auto edit (censor) killed that word. It is c.a.n.c.e.r.

Cheers Alex

Something that may be of interest.

I have set myself small goals to achieve as I go along. The German and Russian tech trees for the TD's (I still know them as SPG's ), I have been working on bringing up to the same level as the tanks. Tiers V and VI. Is an example. All the TD's were sadly neglected for a long time.

An unfortunate side effect of this has been that I seem to be annoying some of our more experienced players. They let me know on the chat line. I do apologise for this.

Getting used to their characteristics is quite difficult. Added to the difficulties mentioned in my first post, makes one feel a bit ordinary. But I am a determined old sod. lol and will keep going for now.

Cheers for now.

Alex

Don't worry about those unicums calling you names.

Weed out the negative and take only positive.

Keep calm and tank on.

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't posted for a while in this thread.

Health wise --- Not to bad atm --- Urologist doesn't want to see me for the next 6 month's. Unless of course there is an issue.:)

Vascular surgeon has me in for a scan on Monday and I'll get the results 7 days later. Not sure about this one.

I did actually fall off a cliff after the last Chemo treatment, But the game has been helpful in what seems to be a long climb back. Sometimes it can't help though.

Sometimes I find the Forums a bit depressing when they are talking about certain issues, I try at times to introduce a little humour, but it doesn't seem too work. Maybe I should send everyone a "Whoopee cushion". lol:D

But I do understand that this is the place to bring up problems and issues with our game.

Our Game. ------ That sounds nice. As members we can actually say that.

In game. Well its been a bit slow because of the issues above recently, Plus the connection issues. I just accept it now and am thankful for the times when they are good.

Progress with the TD's has been ok. Most are up to Tier V  and many are researched to Tier VI and a couple purchased, The exception is the new German TD line. That one could be interesting. I might leave that one too last. Lol :D.

Tanks are pretty good. Most are at Tier VI. Some Tier VII tanks have been bought and are waiting patiently in my garage. I have taken the Tier VII US T20 Through the Grind of crew training and upgrades. That was a good lesson in itself.

Tier VII ----- Hmm not easy at all.

Anyway, This thread has become a bit of a "Personnel Journey". But it does remain a personnel thankyou to the game developers.

I am hoping that others who may find themselves in similar circumstances to me, may find perhaps a little comfort in this thread. Some good must come from this experience.:)

Well can I wish you all, good hunting. And that's all from The Bengal Tiger for now.

Cheer's everyone,

Alex

Hi Guys,

Thought hard about re-activating this thread, But a number of you have been so kind with your good wishes both here and PM.

Well the "Big C" is under control ATM. The vascular surgeon did find something wrong with the arteries to my legs. I came close to losing one of them it was that serious. But Yippee! they fixed that up with a couple of stents. In "Airmans Terminology" , I've got my undercarriage back.:teethhappy:

Trouble with this is, I am wearing out shoes like they are going out of style. Doh!

The reason I haven't been around for the last 3 months was because Windows 10 decided it would have a gigantic "Hissy fit" That knocked out my Laptop completely. As things would happen, this was after Microsoft's free upgrade had expired. Grrrrrrr. Well I now have a "Small form" desktop that I have integrated with my home entertainment system (home made) loaded with Windows 10 Enterprise. It eats WOT B for breakfast. Still some ping issues though from time to time. Where I live is not far from the Navy Gunnery range, Lol My neighbour's think that it is poor form for the Navy to be practicing after tea. I don't let on that I am playing WOT B. :hiding:. One of them knows though.

As for the game, I am only playing occasionally now as I am more mobile and being more sociable. I have even got closer in a friendly sense to the said neighbour's. We have "Barby's" and go out for tea quite often. Great when one lives alone.

Have been Grinding through a couple more TD's for Tier VI. Jg.Pz.IV and Su 100. As always a mixture of fun and "Why am I doing this to myself". But it is rewarding, just a little achievement along the way. My stat's are horrible through lack of practice, but the game is more enjoyable now that I don't play as often or when I am tired. (I am still tiring rather quickly. Extra walking is contributing to this.)  I still love my favourite tank's. PzIII, Matilda, KV-1, KV-1s and a number of others up to Tier VI . Still holding back on Tier VII. Yes that collection is still in the garage and growing. Waiting for the big leap.

Still thanking WOT B for the game. Actually like what is happening with graphics & sound. Wish you would give us SPG .......er sorry TD jockeys some more cover on the maps. Sorry, that is just a vote, not a dig.:great:

Anyhow that's enough of a "Waffle" from me.

See you guy's on the field of battle. "Did someone mention "Waffle's". Mmmmm. Where's that Waffle iron? I'm Hungry!

Cheer's

Alex
