Its so bad especially after when I purchase and realise the tier x gun reload time has decreased...

 

Armour is soso and without the fast gun reload.. easily killed by mediums... especially t54! Look at t54 gun reload (8.23..?) and damage.. is even faster than tortoise previous states (8.10). Which means an average of 650 dmg pen for t54 and 750 dmg pen for tort after two shots.

Some may say, "hey isn't tort still better (previously)?" But considering the fact that t54 have the agility, good armour and an apcr as main ammos which shoots really quick.. t54 is way better... 

 

So.. yeah.. why t54 didn't get debuff after soo long period of having op tank title? 

 

To conclude, now tort gun reload only 7.79 and aiming time increased too.. Without stable armour... nonetheless. Don't buy for those who is considering!

Gun wise tortoise is better...

As we don't simply look at rof to judge...

There's something called dpm(damage per minute)

Where you damage x rof

Tortoise have 3k while T54 have only 2.5k

And tortoise has better alpha, accuracy

So Tortoise gun is better

 

For your info, T-54 doesn't shoot apcr for their final gun...

They shoot heat, they only use apcr when they are in terrible stock...

 

And that avg dmg per hit....

No, T-54 only have 310 while tortoise 400....

And it's HE have high pen, good enough for those side armor of medium

If you say we shouldn't buy the tort because it's not as good as t54, then we shouldn't buy most other tier 9 tanks. t54 is just too op.

 

aint saying I like the tort or we should buy it tho

Tort is worth it... If u know how to use it, otherwise don't bother.

You're comparing Tortoise with wrong adversary mate., you should compared Tort more with the Jagdtiger.,both tank also can take out T54 from long range (the feel when T54 got into your killzone is priceless)

I wish the JTiger got the wide gun arc Tortoise got..... that alone is worth keeping this TD.

unfortunately jadgtiger have much better armor that tortoise

The small pimples on tortoise can be pen easily by any tank

And it pop out the weakspot before it can shoot, while jadgtiger no

regarding the armor part.... it is arguable.... yes, JTiger doesn't have weak spot frontally, excellent hull down TD, but it is a one dimension TD...... on the other hand tortoise is better better in defending flanker and easier to drive in the new open maps.

Guys, the Jagdpanther II sucks because an IS-3 Defender can kill it in one clip.

(don't compare an op tank to a completely different tank next time, and don't say the other tank isn't good because the op tank can kill it, or is slightly better in some aspects)

But a Defender has armor and alpha to make it idiot-proof. If a bad player drives a Defender, he'll still manage to bounce shots without even trying. Against equal tier tanks. A T-54 driven by a bad player would just get rekt.

Ya know what makes jag better than tortoise Imo? Badass gun dep and impenetrable manlet (Havnt got tort yet)

I personally like damage over ROF, but if you dont get tort how will you get FV?

The Jagdtiger has eight degrees if gun depression. The Tortoise has ten.

 

I'd say they're equal tanks with different roles. Tortoise is DPM punisher, Jagdtiger is mixing Tortoise and 704 together.

Defender wouldn't be able to make good use of the armour though (like by going hulldown). The only tanks I've driven at tier 7 that can't pen the hull of an IS-3D with AP are the Comet and the T-43, and none at tier 8. If the IS-3D stuck with their team they'd do somewhat well, but they're an idiot, so they wouldn't know that, you know what the average Asian server player is like! Anyway, I should be talking about the Tortoise.

Wow you make the armour sound so much weaker than it is. Anything with under 200mm pen struggles immensely to pen and even ~200mm pen guns are about 70% chance to pen. When you consider only a handful of tanks at tier 8 have 210mm+ pen, the fact that it doesn't have weak lower plate and that we are talking about shooting at in the open with no cover as well it having great firepower, yeah it's a pain to deal with especially when there are often multiple on the enemy team. And don't forget it has the strongest side armour in tier 8, (tier with is6) the tanks like the comet and t43 can't even reliably pen unless it's at an almost 90deg angle.
